I’m Karen the Salon Manager, Our aim is to create beautiful, wearable hair styles that can be continued at home. We are passionate about our work and understanding our clients needs. We believe in promoting healthy hair and colour excellence and are committed to offering the best possible service to our clients.
We use all the latest technology with the support of Wella. The team are trained to the highest levels within the industry and we are very proud of our achievements, we currently have 4 Master Colour Experts within the salon.

I’ve been working at Nirvana since 1997 and I have worked my way up from Saturday girl to a manager. During my time at Nirvana I have attended courses such as Barbering, Creative Colouring, Advanced Cutting, Hair extensions and Hair up. I was chosen to be guest stylist and make up artist on a photo shoot for Versace which included a trip to the South of France. I’ve helped organise shows that Nirvana have been selected to do which I really do have a passion for. My goal is that every client that walks through our doors will leave loving their experience.

Harriet Rumble
Artistic Director

Hi ! I’m Harriet, I’ve been hairdressing since 2003 and I started working for Nirvana as a Saturday girl when I was 15 years old. With hard work and determination I have progressed to become an Artistic Director.
In 2010 I qualified as a Wella Master Colour Expert, achieving the highest degree in colour knowledge. I am also a qualified training assessor and enjoy training and assessing our juniors.

I started working as an apprentice in hairdressing in 1991 after leaving school. I worked in Portsmouth for 7 years and successfully completed many courses including Wella, Goldwell, Joshua Galvin and completed all levels of nvq’s in Hairdressing. I started working for Nirvana in 2002 as a stylist and have now progressed after many years of hard work to the position of a Creative Director specializing in colouring, cutting, perming and styling for both bridal and school proms.

Apprentice

Hi I’m Amy,
I currently work with the Nirvana team as the salon apprentice, I joined in June 2011, having gained my NVQ level 1 at Fareham College. I am now working very hard to achieve NVQ levels 2 and 3 to qualify as a stylist.
My training night at the salon is on a Thursday and the girls are great teachers!
My ambition is to become an Artistic Director after working my way up
through all the different levels of hairdressing.
